Focus

While I am here to serve and companion you on your human grief journey, my focus is on helping you to find a good death for your pet. With that in mind, it is also essential that the best interests of your pet remain at the fore of our concerns and remain central to our approach.

Should you decide that you would like to engage my services it is critical that you understand that, until the moment of death, my client is not you - it is your animal. It is my role to empower you to make the necessary decisions (particularly if your pet is at active end-of-life), but it is also my obligation to ensure that your pet is not suffering needlessly because you are not ready to let go.

The death of a companion animal is a stressful, heart breaking, and sad time in the life of any pet owner. Trying to postpone your grief will not lessen it. A core part of my practice is to assist you in determining when it is time to let go, and helping you find a way that you can communicate to your animal that it is also okay for them to say goodbye.

As we then take on the work of caring for the body, remembering the life of the animal and of your unique, shared bond, we will begin to work through the mourning process. At this point in time, my focus shifts to you.
